Derek is really a kid at the heart of a story that's as old as time.
You know the story.

Oh, that again. Well now that it's been a few years after the aftermath,
read about all the whoo ha from the man in the center of it all.
I heard someone say that the Mrs. Dunn Song
was originally based on an Adam Sandler song, yet I heard some dude
doing a similar song on Comedy Central, who should I believe?
Has nothing to do with Adam Sandler, the press just liked to refer
to it as Adam Sandleresque. It's true I stole the music from a comedian
on Comedy Central. I was stuck for a basic melody when I was writing
lyrics and this man came on and blew me away. His songs were hilarious.
Sorry don't remember his name but the music I stole is from a song
called "Hermaphrodite."
Was Mrs. Dunn really all that hot or was it just a big goof because
she was a pain in the ass?
I feel that either way I answer this I
will make more enemies. Sorry.
Take me through the evolution of how this whole story erupted. You
wrote the song, recorded it, put it on the Internet, started telling
a few people, and then what happened?
I told my best friend of the time and it's the classic snowball case.
The student body new of it in a week. About a month later some dickhead
that I am not acquaintance with made a copy and brought it into school.
He handed it to the teacher saying "I found this on the floor, it
has your name on it." Knowing full well the damage he was about to
cause. Teacher was not in school the following day.
How long did it take for all the who-ha surrounding
this story to go away?

When people ask you what it's like, how do you describe it?
A birth of Radiohead and Coldplay minus the expensive
recording equipment
